I put a dust bath in the run a few weeks ago....they are in love with it. They are not dusting in my flower beds nearly as often now.

I want to put one in my run since it's build on a concrete pad with DLM.

I did that too. Mine is a huge flower pot that I am not using anymore. Put a lot of sand and mixed in some DE. They are using it for dust bathing and scratching. It is funny to watch them line up for their turn.

I have been letting mine free range, and I have an unused flower bed they love. Have you noticed they make special sweet clucking sounds just when they are taking a dirt bath? It is really adorable. I will have to post the pics I took of our roo and his EE girlfriend yesterday. They just love taking a bath together

we took the bottom pan for a large terracotta pot(about 4in high) and filled it with dry dirt. they love it. i am thinking we may get something nicer and deeper.

What do you do to make a dust bath? Just make a small sand box basically?
