We built a duck coop for our Pekin and 2 appleyards. I attached a pic of almost finished construction. It is double walled plywood except front and bottom. It has 4 ventilation openings, you can see half of it in the picture.

In winter time, should I add insulation or cover the ventilation?

Thanks for the feedback. We won't cover the ventilation. Our coldest nights get to mid 20s, typically, so sounds like they are ok as is.

That is nice looking duck coop. Congrats..... I built one for the wife's Pekins that is similar to yours but now I want to raise it up for easier clean out.

I keep a heater plugged in all winter long in one area but because the cold air is constantly replacing the warm air inside its pointless to try to keep it 'warm'
