We currently have 4 silkie chicks that are 10 weeks old set up in our mobile coop.
We also have one lone RIR (she’s about 4-5 years old now) that has a separate portion of our rabbit pet. She’s the only chicken we have left from our old/former mixed flock.
I think it would be a terrible idea to try to integrate the RIR with the silkies (at any age, but especially this young) but my husband seems to think it’ll be fine and we should try.
Would love to get some other opinions. Am I just being paranoid that the RIR will beat up on the babies? Hubby actually thinks the silkies will “bully” her because she’s a loner but I have a hard time envisioning that. I would hate for the floofs to get hurt.
