I've been sitting here reading all the different posts on how to integrate new chickens. I know that your supposed to wait till they are approximately the same size as the older ones! Most things that I have read most are integrating a couple of new chickens to the existing flock. What do you do if your integrating 15 new ones to 4??
O.K. Here's my dilemma.... I have 15 - 7 weeks old babies.. The brooder that their in is 2 1/2 ft x 2 1/2 ft x 7 ft. I believe that in the next few weeks their going to be busting out the seams of that brooder.. So i'm not really sure that I can wait till there 18-20 weeks old. I have 4 - 3 hens & 1 roo about 5-7 months old.
I've seen a couple of suggestions to make hiding spots for the younger ones and thought I might try that but I'm not really sure what else to try!
What might your suggestions be to this little problem i'm facing??
Thanks,
Missi
