Integrating New Pullets

If anyone is following, that little tiny hiding "coop" didn't really work. The older pullets could squeeze under and were chowing down on the chicks food and water. So, we cut the legs in half and made it shorter. The chicks slept under it last night inside the big coop. They were fine. For whatever reason, today when they were being harassed that hid in the stupidest locations and did not make use of their hiding place. We just fenced off a portion of the run and they are safe in there now. They can all see each other but can't touch.

I thought it was a bit too tall, was going to say something but you said was it was working perfect<shrug>

It can take some times before the 'get it' with hiding places..... and just about anything.
Might want to put other things in the run too, for distraction and hiding...roosts, a pallet leaned up against the wall, stump, logs, old chairs...lots of options.
