Integration and Feed Question

My chicks are in the process of the “see no touch” method… Once that is over and they have officially joined the adults, what do you guys do about their feed? Do you feed the adult hens and chicks all starter grower and just provide extra calcium for the adults?? I’m worried about the chicks eating the layer feed before they should… Thanks!

Yes, you got it right. Feed all of them from the starter feed, with oyster shell on the side (they'll eat only what they need). Or you can purchase an all-flock feed that's designed for all ages. It's pretty similar to starter feed, just slightly lower protein, I think.

Everyone can eat starter, it's better for your girls than layer. Oyster shell on the side. When everyone is laying, you can feed high protein layer
