Looks like integration process is complete. Year old and (6) 11 week old, will be 12 weeks on Thursday, have been in the same coop. Some of the pullets would get on the roost, but some stayed on the floor.
Yesterday I changed the roosts. That helped. Last night 5 of 6 pullets went up on the lower roost. 1 pullet was on the nesting box roost. Had the coop light on.
Today I turned the light timer off. At 8:30 all were in the coop. Year old and 5 pullets were on the high roost. 1 pullet on lower roost and she was close to the year old instead of being in front of her sisters.
I have made another change to the coop that they liked. I removed the pine shavings (except in nesting boxes) and put in sand. Clean up is a breeze. Do plan on putting sand in nesting boxes. Just didn't get it done today.
