I've been so nervous and stressed about putting Lucy and the Chicks together, but I moved forward yesterday evening.

After being "Look, don't touch" since August 18th, I decided it was time. I set up a number of obstacles in Lucy's run and opened the ' door between the runs about an hour before time to roost.

Lucy made sure the youngsters knew she is in charge and no one challenged it. They all tried each others' food and all enjoyed .a little treat.

Lucy retired to her new coop, then decided that she wanted her old spot in her original coop. She moved the babies to the other end and went to sleep.

What was I so worried about?

We're far from finished! We've just moved into the "no one cares about your stupid boundaries" phase. We're probably going to be here for quite some time.
