Thanks for all the input, here's my plan: The integration is going ok, the young ones are chased away from food or water sometimes, (there is plenty of stations) but then sometimes they let them, so for outside in the run, it's going ok. Only one feather pull last week, and the littles keep their distance, which is good for now. So for sleeping, I am letting the pullets still sleep in the dog crate, and the big girls go inside the coop. So I am going to pick up a large shipping crate this week, and convert to a coop. I can probably get it to a functioning coop pretty quick, by the weekend, the basics, a shelf, roosts, and vents, and then can take my time with the finishing, painting, and will have to build a caged in run, which I think I can do. So, that's my plan and once It is functioning work on getting them into the roosts all together. So I will get an egg box in there too. I have a question about how the pullets, not quite yet laying but soon for one I think, will they know to go into the coop to lay their eggs? If they are leary of the big girls, will they go in there by them selves? Silly question?
Thanks,
Mary
