Interbreeding

If I have Dutch Hookbills & Magpie ducks, will they prefer to breed their own or will they interbreed freely? DH are ‘critically’ endangered while Magpies are ‘threatened’ so I’d like to breed them true. I may have to choose one or the other since they will free range during the day. TIA

In order to assure parentage, it will be necessary to keep them separated. Any possibility of free ranging on alternate days ?
