Interest in changing Chesapeake, VA chicken keeping code

On November 20, 2012, Chesapeake City Council passed TA-Z-12-07, which allows up to six hens at all single-family residences. The ordinance is at http://www.cityofchesapeake.net/Ass...ns_in_single_family_residential_districts.pdf but the Council voted for changes to allow up to six hens and for the removal of the privacy fencing requirement. There is also a 1-year sunset clause on the ordinance, so the city will be revisiting the issue in a little less than a year.
