interested in having a couple chickens for eggs

wanting to get a couple of chicks to raise for eggs and to have I love chickens grew up with them. I am not to sure where to start but what I am worried about is foxes. I need to know the best way to a chicken coop to keep them safe at night. Thank you vicki

Hi Vicki, welcome to BYC!
Please check out the coop build forum.
You will want to use hardware cloth on your run and the windows in your coop NOT chicken wire. The hardware cloth will help keep out all kinds of predators, including fox.

Welcome to BYC ! I just saw one the other day and it didn't see me . It walked out by the pond in back and sat down like a dog just looking around . I bet it's denned with kits . They are most likely to be a problem when they have kits ( more mouths to feed ) so I just batten down the hatches , use good wire and don't let anything to chance . I like them too !
