I am laughing as I write this.

Codorniz is Spanish for "Quail".

What is this anglicized species?

Coturnix is Latin for Quail, hence the transliteration into Spanish.

So, saying Coturnix Quail would be the equivalent of saying "Quail - Quail".

Example: naming your daughter "Colleen". It's like naming her, "Girl - Girl".

Example (2): A PCMCIA. I need to install a PCMCIA card. "I need to install a "Card - Card".

Maybe I need a "life-line"?
