Can you have a compost pile? That is what you need, but not being in the country you may not be able to. There are composters for a reasonable price at Amazon. I have a friend who has one in the suburbs.
 
Compost it! If you can't have it in a pile maybe get/make yourself a few big 55 gallon tumblers like this;

Very tasteful, easy to use. You can roll a wheel barrow right under it for unloading so less bending down.

Just throw in about a quart of good lawn or garden soil to introduce lots of good bacteria, then equal parts chicken manure and straw by weight, and any fresh grass clippings from mowing, and any vegetable or fruit waste from the kitchen and then tumble it about every few weeks. You'll have a good garden ammendment in six months or so.
