When I went out this evening to collect eggs I found an egg that looks like a first egg. It was oval shaped, maybe 1 1/2" long, and 1/2" across. The problem is that I don't have anyone in the "First Egg" age group at the moment. My main flock are all over a year old. I also have a group of "tweeners" that are 13 weeks old. Surely this is too young to drop an egg.... yes? My turkeys are even younger than that group. Any ideas?

Maybe just an "egg fart". My girls were laying for about 5 months and then one day I got these 2 marble shaped and sized eggs. Dont know if they were from the same chicken or 2 separate birds but both were from a RIR. It hasnt happened since, cant explain it just attribute it to the afore-mentioned egg fart.

Yup, the infamous "fart egg". I got one from my two year old birds a few weeks ago. It was maybe 3/4 of an inch. All white inside by the way, no yolk.
