Interesting ideas for Kids lunches

I occasionally borrow ideas from this lady. I bet her kids eat ANYTHING she is so talented. I don't have the creativity she does but have done quite a few of the things she posted http://www.cutefoodforkids.com/ I also use it for the school parties. We did the marshmallow snowmen one.

My daughter carries her lunch to school most everyday. We invested in a nice smaller stainless thermos. She can take leftovers -- soup, bbq beef/pork or sloppy joe meat (I pack a bun and she puts it together at school), homemade mac-n-cheese, taco meat (pack a shell or two with some cheese and lettuce in small gladware containers), spaghetti. I always heat up a little water - in the microwave or stovetop. Pour it into the thermos. Let it sit for five minutes. Pour it out and then fill the thermos up with whatever heated leftovers, etc. It keeps it toasty for hours! I don't think you have to pre-heat the thermos with water, but it was a little tip that I came across long ago.

Every now and again, she also like to take boiled eggs or cheese and crackers. Of course, there is always a fruit/veggie packed and a little treat, too. She does like taking sandwiches, too. She doesn't mind leftover chilled pizza, either.
