Interesting lump on her neck!

I have a california white that has a weird lump on her chest/neck area. It doesnt bother her at all she is happy and healthy. And i talked to a friend who is becoming a vet and she said unless it starts bothering her or she gets sick because of it that its not worth having it removed. Its not a tumor because its not round exactly its just....a "sack". I was thinking that maybe it is her gizzard that kinda grew weird and is now halfway sticking out of her neck. She has skin over it and feathers grow on it. I was just wondering if anybody has ever had this before. Is it something i should be worried about or not? And if so what could it be, because im most likely wrong on what it is. The reason i think it is her gizzard is that when she eats it gets bigger and after a while it shrinks back down.

Any advice would be helpful thanks.

I think you are describing the birds crop. Food does stay in there for a bit. It will be big at the end of the day after they have been eating all day and in the morning it should be nice and flat. Sounds totally normal!!
