Somone did a great post on another site about this and got a vets input..they called it a double shelled fertile egg that started to develop then stopped another one looked like an ovary that came out, this site was looking at egg anomolies... the vet said it was a foreign body that was being passed at the same time an egg was moving down the track and the egg surrounded the foreign body and the shell was so thin that almost wasnt there just the stuff that passed down the vent.that was one of the eggs that they were looking at

.it was an interesting conversation , sorry I cant remember it all, it has been about 2 years ago..and cant remember how I got to the site, what search term I used. there was something about we dont always know exactly the time that that particular hen laid an egg and it actually sat inside the hen fertile developing and due to a stress factor they held back that egg for a long time..sorry I wish remember it all. I had the site bookmarked in last computer but it crashed..might have been under egg anomolies

Showing someone these pictures would be enough to stop anyone from eating eggs. Not something to share with your egg customers for sure!

I do this after having bought eggs from a friend years ago who assured me that she collected them daily. I cracked about 1/2 a dozen then got one with a chick inside, feathers and all.
