Intergrating 1 pullet into flock

So I might have 1 silkie pullet one day soon. Right now I have 2 cherry eggers pullets and by the time I get the silkie chicken my cherry Eggers will be full grown while silkie will be a pullet. So this would be just 1 pullet. How do I integrate her with my existing flock of 4 full grown cherry eggers. What is the best way to integrate one chicken to an existing flock? Ty!

If possible NEVER get one lone chick. Integration is difficult on them -- they have no friends and no one to roost with for several weeks or even months when they are thrown in with much older birds. They will also be extremely stressed if they are raised in a brooder all by themselves. Get 2-3.

An a silkie, being small and half blind due to their top do's,
is even more susceptible to pecking order/integration issues.

How old are the CE's, and the silkie, in weeks or months?

I just would not recommend this addition. Wishing they would all be nice, is not going to work, and the silkie's life will be miserable. She has all the reasons for a flock to attack her and make her a constant victim. She is a stranger, does not belong, is smaller and looks different. The cherry eggers are almost guaranteed to be the meanest birds you have ever seen, even if you think they are quite nice now.

The only way possible, would be if you have excessive space, as in a walk in shed, with a large run, and lots of hideouts. I am inferring you do not have a set up like that, because otherwise you would be adding at least a pair.

Even if you did add a pair, people often have a very terrible time integrating silkies to established flock of LF layers. They often wind up with a separate coop/run, just for the silkies.

I think you will not be happy, and that this will cause a lot of strife in your flock.

Will just stick to my 4 then. The chick would be like 5 months old. As soon as owner knows gender she will give to me. So I'm thinking she'll know by 5 months old. But I dont want to stress my chicks or new one out so I'll just stick to my 4. Maybe next spring I'll order 4 chicks and then I'll have 8 hoping I can get silkies.
