New Asil cockerel attacking hens

How long was your quarantine period? How long was your integration period of looking without contact. I personally use a 3 to 4 week quarantine and 1 to 2 weeks of looking at each other without contact. Then I'll release the bird with the flock and spend a few hours watching how things go. I also keep the bird in a crate in the coop at night for the 1 to 2 weeks of looking without contact. So my flock gets used to them being out and inside the coop. I've also never owned game fowl. So I'm not educated if they are different as far as personality goes.

You quarantine completely for one month, they can't even share the same air but it's a bit too late for that.
See but no touch introduction is what most people do.

^^ This worked very well when I added young pullets to my older girls, but a cockerel is a different thing.

At six months, they’re generally all hormones and no brains.

Ideally, you would either:
(1) introduce a 1+ year old rooster, who has learned his manners and how to court the ladies, to pullets, or

(2) wait a year until the pullets are hens, and then (if you can’t get a mature roo), add a cockerel and let the hens whump him around a bit and teach him manners.

How old are your pullets? Typically, cockerels mature sexually before pullets. He probably doesn’t know how to court females, and will try to mount them (and very clumsily) way before they’re ready.

This bird lived alone, outdoors, like most game birds. He was from a really good breeder who wins huge shows. I didn't think he would carry any disease.

They’re all about the same age. Pullets are 7 months, cockerel is 6 months. These heritage pullets aren’t standing up to this Asil. Ever lol

Do these birds only get along with females of the same breed? I have a mixed flock of heritage birds. This is a 6 month old Wheaten Asil.
There's hens of different breeds with them.

At 6 months he's passed the successful introduction period. The younger the better with these guys.
