Hello!

So, we are almost done with our coop. We used plywood to cover the framing, and I think I am wanting to cover the interior studs as well.
I was curious about whether you all finished your walls , or left the studs visible. I am thinking I don't want them to poop all over the studs.
If you did cover your walls, what material did you use?

Thank you! :love

Poops on the studs and sheathing.....or interior sheathing that provides a cavity for rodents and pests to live is a tough decision. Might depend on the size of the coop and how your roosts are set up. Pics of your coop would help here.

I used HC on my interior walls, might have been a mistake, but after 7 years no problems.
An occasional poop lands on the HC, but poop boards catch most of it.
Bedding gets thru the HC, so I put up 16" high feed bags along the bottom to minimize that.

I used plywood and studs as well for the coop. After one month of coop life my hens have yet to poop on the studs. Plenty of poop on the coop floor and sone on the roosts. I wouldn’t consider interior walls necessary.
