Internal Bleeding goldfish

Hey I have a goldfish and while I was cleaning the tank the container I put him in fell and the fish fell about 2metres. Red has appeared under his skin which has to be internal bleeding. I have isolated him in a separate tank and have set the temp to 22 degrees Celsius as he is a cold water fish and also put some calcium in the tank. Is there any other way I could help him? He is swimming normally but I'm worried he won't make it

Well this site usually doesn't get fish threads mostly chickens but their isn't a lot of medical research on fish as they are usually not worth saving the medicine and possible surgery are far more expensive than the fish itself but it sounds like your doing the right thing. You could try another site they focuses on fish more.

If it is internal bleeding your goldfish would die fairly quickly. My guess is it is similar to a bruise, and it should heal up. There isn't really anything you can do to help unless you were to seek out a vet that sees fish.

I have fish (guppies) and one of them was squished by the store employee (accident) when I got him, and he had red under his skin too. Now he is doing great! His name is Squish, lol.
