Ok so I know the general rule is to not assist hatch. But I wonder if anyone has ever made a safety hole in the top of the shell after three chick internally pipped but not externally pipped. She's been internally pipped for at least 24 hours under my broody hen. This particular egg I really want to hatch, but idk if I should intervene or not. How long can they be internally pipped before they run out of air? She was peeping yesterday afternoon, but not hearing her today. Other chick that was prepping yesterday also, pipped earlier today. Please help! These chicks are already a week late.
