Internet usage and uploading photos?

I am just needing to know if uploading photos uses up more internet then browsing the site? I am using my iPhone as a computer at the moment and I only have a set amount of internet with my plan. So I don't want to be doing things that suck up my amount too fast. Is uploading photos one of these things?

Yes, uploading and downloading pictures uses way more bandwidth than just browsing most websites. In fact, you could browse BYC all day long and not get much data usage if you uncheck these settings in your profile:

Show smilies as graphic icons
Show user signatures.
Show user avatars in posts.
Show images in posts.
Show images in user signatures.
