Hi guys, a friend contacted me today. She was affected by storms that have hit us here in the south. Her power was out for 3 days while she had eggs in the incubator. She was wondering if those eggs would still hatch or if they're goners? The temps have gotten as low as 60 in the house.

I'd say there is a high chance of abnormalities or death, but if she's willing to do what needs to be done - keep incubating, what day incubation would matter too- the later the (better/worse) <- waiting for a more knowledgeable expert for which one.

I've read that when an embryo is young enough it can actually go into a period of non-development/growth if the incubation cycle is interupted. Once the incubation begins again they resume deveoloping. So depending on what stage your friends eggs were at could also affect their chances of survival.

They had been in about 10 days. I'm crossing my fingers she gets a good hatch.
