Intoducing to the flock

I hope so. All the chickens are heading to bed right now and he's watching all the young ladies go upstairs and he's talking to them. I think he's lonely in the brooder. But I'm going to be strong and be patient. I really want this integration to be an eventual success.

Well I put the new guy to bed with the hens last night because he looked like he wanted to be with the other chickens. Poor guy.

I made the other guy to bed with the chicks upstairs.

When I let them all out this morning the new guy went straight to the brooder so I closed the door and gave him fresh water. When I got home tonight after work I let him out of the brooder and he's doing ok! He's trying to get on the hens and the other guy is leaving him alone. So fingers crossed I think we're out of the woods.

Last night when I got home after dark. Both boys and all the hens were downstairs. The polish was sleeping on the floor, the other boy was on one of the shelves. Cohabitating! High five!
