Hi all! I am a newbie in all senses of the word here! No chicks yet...just learning. But a student and user of natural methods.
I came onto this site, as a friend without internet asked me to research a bit about oregano and chickens. Now I don't know alot about chickens yet, other than what I have learned from others. My brother has several and he absolutely loves them!
I grew up near Minneapolis, but helped out at my relatives farms in the summer with berries, haying, milking, feeding livestock, and more.(Good memories and full appreciation for the hard work that farming is)
I live on 40 acres, have 2 dogs and a cat and no other pets or animals, unless you count our "foster dog", our daughter's dog who visits for several days at a time when she is working long stretches.
As I get started with chickens I will most likely be asking a lot of questions, and some of them about even quite basic things. So, in advance, thanks to all of you for your patience!
My background is a nurse of more years than not, and a wife to a patient, persevering, kind man, and 3 grown kids.
I have in recent years become passionate about natural methods to decrease toxic loads for me and my family, and a home based business revolving around that love.
Any recommendations on where my Journey With Chickens should start? What kind? etc
