Intro: Chicken helper (not by Betty Crocker)

G’Day from down under Aaallrighty :frow Welcome!

Kudos to you for helping out lost and possibly unloved chickens :clap

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

You might want to also Find Your State Thread and pop in and say hello.

Personally, I have found the Topic of the Week articles a great resource and a one stop shop for questions which may have already been discussed within the BYC membership group.

If you would like to share pictures and stories of your flock, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out ;)

I am trying to find a home for a pair of Sumatran hens that will be miserable or predator fodder if they stay at my house much longer. Our local laws won't let me free range them and I kind of have to set an example. I already placed the rooster that was with them when they turned up. I separated them in the interest of genetic diversity as they were most likely from the same brood originally. I am in the MidAtlantic region. I e-mailed Livestock Conservancy but never had any replies. Crow back if you know of anyone who might be interested.
