This is my intro. My husband and I are new at raising chickens and this site has been very helpful. We are raising a few chickens in town and are loving it! We started with 7 - 4 wk old females....lost one to dog. Three have started laying. I was so happy with how well the 6 are doing I talked my husband into getting 8 baby chickens thinking we would loose a couple. So far, all are alive and doing great!! Next step...finding a place in the county for more chickens, lol.
