Lurker/observer for a while, but finally posting. I have about 60 easter eggers right now, along with a smattering of other chickens (silkies, golden comets, black sex links, and Shamos).
Also, some great laying Khaki Campbell Ducks, some Golden Hybrid Layers, Welsh Harlequins and Cayugas (about 60 ducks). Rounding it out: 3 pilgrim geese, 3 royal palm turkeys, and 8 guineas.

I love all of the information I've found and what a great helpful community BYC is. Looking forward to participating more. I love my little farm, which also includes horses, mini donkeys, alpacas, goats, sheep, and a pig.

:welcome

What a wonderful assortment of poultry and other animals you have!

Thanks for joining us, it's nice to have you here.

I don't get as many eggs as I would like yet. The khaki campbells lay well, and I can't keep up with the demand for duck eggs from a local chef and a farmer's market. I have four black sex links laying daily, but my easter eggers and Shamos are at 21 weeks and haven't started laying yet. I've read (on BYC) that they can take a little longer to start, but I am ready for some blue eggs. Once I get steadier chicken egg supply, I will start bringing those to the farmers markets as well.
I bought 50 ducks from Metzers a few weeks ago in response to the high demand for duck eggs. But, i have another 14-18 weeks before I expect any eggs from them.
