Hi @Darrinhuns
Greetings from Alberta Canada. Where do you hail from?

I have a silly question. I've always wondered, how do you keep your cornish alive once they fully mature? I've seen them not able to stand once they get too heavy. The 2 I had couldn't survive my overly active cockerels.

In Pa. It all really depends on genetics. Some will be better suited for longevity than others. Then on top of that, they need a feeding schedule and exercise. My feeding schedule was they had a day and night period and they ate out of the gravity fed feeders that have the little dividers so they couldn’t eat large amounts at one time. It took them a while to get their food so ultimately they didn’t eat as much. Also at the time of my Cornish x hens I didn’t have any cock birds so I never had to worry about that
