(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Yes I’m new to chickens and prepping my yard, looking for a coop and build a run for some chicken early next year. February is the goal!
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? I have 0 currently it would like 4-5.
(3) What breeds do you have?
I’m reading up on breeds and what works for my family and me. I like the barred rock, sapphire gem and Rhode Island Red.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I look forward to giving them a good home, taking care of them and of course eggs!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I enjoy gardening, composting, hiking, running, mountain biking and working out. Learning how nature provides, heals and strengthens us.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
My husband and dog Mary are excited to have chickens. Mary has been introduced to them many times and seems pretty relaxed around them. My husband wants to build their coop just right and provide enough space.
