Welcome! My husband is a former LEO. We have a German Shepherd who loves watching chicks in a brooder. He was chased by a turkey once and has been afraid of adult poultry ever since!

Shepard and Mals can be so funny! I have been tempted to introduce mine to chickens outside of the coop, but you never know when the prey drive will kick in. I'd hate for him to make a snack out of one.

Thanks! It got a little pricey, but I wanted to make sure it was sturdy. It took my wife and I a few weeks of working on it on the weekend.

That is a common factor here - all of us spent more than we planned. When people who don't own chickens say to me that I am saving money on eggs - I laugh and tell them I have the most expensive eggs ever.
