(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? Yes, I am relatively new to chickens (though we had them when I was a kid). My daughter talked me into getting chicks ~ a year and a half ago.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? We currently have 4 hens.
(3) What breeds do you have? Rhode Island Red (1), Ameraucana (1), Orpington (1), Australorp (1)
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? They are very entertaining.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Yard work/gardening, writing
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. Usually have at least 1 Great Dane (though not rn), and all of our pets have been 'rescued/found'. Other than the chickens, rn we have 4 felines and only one canine.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I stumbled across BYC when Google-searching for chicken coop windows, and asked to join right away!
