Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? Yes just got my babies May 6th
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 16
(3) What breeds do you have? 2 Blk Australorp, 1 blk Jersey Giant, 3 buff orpington, 2 silkies (1blu & 1buff), 2 buff brahmas, 2 Easter Eggers (1 gray & 1 that looks like a chipmunk), 1 Plymouth rock, 1 silkie mixed w/wyandotte, 1 golden comet, 1 mystery
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? Well my daughter and I have bpd (boarderline personality disorder) as well as depression and anxiety, my therapist recommended to get chickens because they have shown promise to help people like my daughter and I as well as free eggs
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? My family and I are slowly moving towards becoming homesteaders, so we can and bake.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. Family of 5 my husband and our three kids 15,14 & 7, 2 pug weenies, 3 cats, and my daughter has a jumping spider, my husband and I are poly but we date separate, he goes to school for diesel mechanic for John deere, and I go to school for medical coding and billing as well as work my full time job from home as a collections agent, he is norse Pagan, I am eclectic pagan.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? Well I actually found you guys browsing the internet, I also watch alot of tiktock and reels
