The title says it all. Introduce me to your favorite hen/roo/chick. Pictures encouraged!
I'm trying to kill time between now and the end of April (when our first brood arrives), and I love hearing about the bonds so many of you have with your favorites.
So, please, tell me your stories!

Great thread idea!

This is BigMama! Technically she isn't a mama yet, but she is the broodiest. I keep telling her that it is too cold to have babies but she is not convinced!

BigMama is a hatchery Buff Orpington, and the bossiest bird in the flock, with exception of my Light Brahma girls! She loves tomatoes and watermelon! She lays the prettiest round peachy-pink eggs (my profile pic is her egg, with her looking up).

Second in line is Ms. PittyPatt Hamleton!

(PittyPat (left) and her sister Tiffany)

PittyPat is a hatchery Light Brahma and got her name from her bossy attitude, and fluffy butt that looks like petticoats(plus my love of the movie Gone with the Wind)! She is quite talkative and a sweet cuddly girl!

My favorite chicken/rooster is Eddy. He is an Easter Egger boy. He is lovely, and takes great care of his gals. He won't let you hold him by the hens since he doesn't want to look bad. Lol! But if you bring him into my house he is sweet!

Beautiful boy! I love the close up, he's like "where is my tribute of food"!

I have an EE boy and he is a pain in the butt. I have had to apron my girls because he is an overzealous teenager!!!!

Eddy is gorgeous. I think I saw those two photos on another thread (EE thread, maybe?), and they were so striking that I remembered them among the million other pictures I've looked at.

Tara, I love those hens! When we placed our order this time, I knew I had to have at least one BO. My mother's BO, Buffy, was always my favorite. She raised many chicks, and even took an entire flock of meat birds under her wing. My mother always says that that bunch of meat birds was the smartest that she ever had, and she credits Buffy.
I think Light Brahmas are gorgeous. If I'd come across them earlier in my chicken search, I think I would have added one to my order.

I remember Eddy too, he won photo of the week awhile back, I think. I adore those girls, and I have a LBrahma roo that is just as awesome. He is a big regal awesome addition to our flock!

This is Jack, our L Brahma roo, and king of the flock!

I can acctuly remember Eddy's name, and name him from a pic...

Padme, SQ Buff Leghorn, and a darling.

This is Eve.. My sons NN hen. She is the sweetest girl!! She is the only one out of 16 hens laying me eggs and she is so friendly! She follows me around everywhere and hangs out with me as I do my chores. All my other chickens are roosting all day in between eating. Is it bc of the cold temps?
