The reason why I say that is because I also have (4) 6 wk old Appleyard ducks and harlequin ducks and everyday I take them outside to the pen my drake khaki attacks them because the ducklings keep following all the ducks. I feel so bad for them but I must continue to do so until they all get along. So I was afraid the male geese would do the same thing to goslings but after hearing the opposite, I feel much better about introducing them. Thank you.
If your right there he can’t you won’t let him. But I bet he’ll want to get close to check them out so don’t scold him for wanting to get close you can tell curiosity over aggressionz
I am beginning to understand that now. This is my first time with ducks and geese. My dad had ducks for us growing up and I have always loved them and I love my geese now too.Drakes and ganders are so different
Sorry to bother you again. Being that my gander is 1 year old. You don’t think he’s inexperience or will instinct kick in?Drakes and ganders are so different
Really wow. Thank you for that. I just get scared he might try to attack them. But I will start since they will be 2 wks old tomorrow. Thanks again![]()

Oh my gosh, I took them out yesterday to meet him and you all were totally right. He was the sweetest with them and if they would run off a different way, he would run after them and herd them back over near his house. We kept them in the small area I made for when I introduce the gander to ducks first, then let them out and they stayed very close to him and followed him. I’m trying to attach small video but I don’t think it lets you.Yes when I took my goslings out for meet and greet I didn’t put them in an enclosed are but they were right with me so if there had been any aggression I could intervene quick.
