Introducing 2 hens to help a bullied one

Both of the other birds seem to be chasing the EE. I don't think I've is more of a bully than the other. I've had them since they were chicks in April. Yes they are my first chickens.

I seriously think crowding is your issue, adding birds is only going to make that worse.
Can you take a tape measure and get exact measurements?
Also what is your climate,
putting your location in your profile is a big help,
and what and how exactly are you feeding?

I'm thinking your issue is the RIR Hen as they are aggressive bullies..What do you feed?..They could be lacking in protein..Too many snacks unbalances the feeds nutritional value..

I live in Phoenix. They're currently getting organic layer pellets with some table scraps from time to time. Not very often. I have a PVC pipe at one end of the coop with holes drilled so they can eat out of it. Think a second freezer would help?

I never feed layer...I feed Grower at 18% protein and have oyster shell out in a separate bowl..That RIR might be your issue..I will never keep Red Birds..

Yeah she was an accident. I was trying to get two buff orphingtins and the lady at the store picked out the wrong chick.

I have Orpington and would never have aggressive Red Birds being Orpington are docile...

Yeah I was worried when she started getting bigger and I realized she wasn't a buff but she's been pretty good until recently.

The possibility of her bullying the two new ones is very high...It won't change her behaviour at all...See if you can sell her?..I would and get the two you really want...
