Introducing 2 hens to help a bullied one

Yeah I was worried when she started getting bigger and I realized she wasn't a buff but she's been pretty good until recently.
Mature Red Hen...Possibly needs higher protein and the Red birds for some reason do poorly with birds of another colour..Birds of a feather, Flock together...

I wouldn't add any more birds to this situation being that your flock is enclosed. What will happen is your easter egger won't be harrassed but your newbies will be. The only way that wouldn't happen is if you got a bird more aggressive than your red which would be just another problem. I'm in agreement you should rehome the red or just have all reds, they don't play nice with other chickens. ;)

My thoughts on this exactly. I have a huge flock, with all the breeds that you mention in your OP. My RIR's are the queens of the flock along with the barred rocks. My EE hens (I have 11 of them) all hang around together with the orphingtons and the other more docile breeds that I have. I have two coops and I let them all out to free range during the day. At night, one rooster and his girls go to one coop and the other rooster and his girls go to the other. I have a few that roost in the rafters of the barn as well. I think you'll be happier to rehome your RIR and get another Orphington. That's probably the best solution to this, rather than adding other chickens to the mix.
