introducing 3wk olds to 5 wk olds, doable?

I have 5 mixed bunch 5-6wk old chicks (3 silkies, 1 sm bantam and 1 standard mutt) I would like to add in the 4 new kids (3 wks old) (2 silkies and 2 serama).
Any suggestions?
I was considering adding them in at nightfall, but concerned with the size difference.
Was hopeing that at this age there wouldn't be too much difficulty....wanted to ask everyone before I made a mistake first.

Not sure, the age difference isn't much. You can try to put them together and watch them, and if the older ones seem to pick on the younger ones too much just seperate them til they are old enough to be together.

Wasn't too much of a fuss when they went in, but tonight when they went to bed all 4 were huddled together as far away from the others they could get.

Well if it's just a bit of pecking, it's just the older ones showing dominance. It should get better in a few days when they get better acquainted. (Sp)
