Introducing 4 week BR to 7 week RIR?

Hello all and awesome site.. I have learned alot..

I have read alot on this but still cant decide what to do..

I have two 4 week old B Rocks that I would like to put out with the eight 7 week old RIR and Buff Rocks..

There is only a three week diffrenece and the BR are almost completely feathered..

The reason I would like to do it now is because I have alot more time this weekend to monitor the situation..

Is there any reason why i can't give this a try?

I had good luck with putting a brooder in the coop with holes that the younger ones could get out, but the bigger girls couldn't get in. That way the younger one could choose when to be in or out. It took about 3 weeks to get them together. When I was around, I would remove the brooder and force them all to hang out a little bit, because the younger ones were terrified of the bigger chickens.

Yeah,just toss them in. They may fight awhile,but 7 week olds can't do much damage and 4 week olds can get out of the way. I did that to mine a few weeks ago,and they are fine.
