Today I was cleaning the brooder and put the 12 little (2-3 day old) peeps in a small pen i had set up and just out of curiosity as to how my lone 4 week old would act towards them... I put him in with them. They really didn't mind each other at all and after awhile the chicks all huddled under my 4 week old. it was so adorable. My 4 week old was acting like a mommy. Then when I put the babies back, the older one didn't like it very much. My question is... Could I put them together permanately? I want to eventually, but for now I'm afraid that if I put them together The 4 week old may not warm them all enough. Should I just wait til the little ones get their feathers?
