I have a white leghorn that I removed from my coop today because she became ill. Im not sure she is going to make it. My friend has her sister and wants to get rid of her. If I were to put my friends chicken in my coop in place of mine (they look identical) would the other chickens know the difference? Odd question I know

That's not an odd question, but before adding any new chicken to the flock it should be quarantined for at least 30 days. Your other chickens may be carrying the illness of the one you separated and may not be showing symptoms yet. You don't want to risk another one getting sick.

Yes, I think they would. Chickens have very sharp eyesight; the birds may look identical to you, but they're not.

Sorry for the double post! My computer hiccuped.

Chickens are masters at reading body language. They will notice the difference immediately.
