I started out with 4 chickens that were 4 weeks old, 2 cochin/silkies and 2 red sex link. They are 8 weeks now and I decided to get an Ameraucana that is 7 weeks old. How long should/could it take for the others to except my new chicken (Goldilocks) I spent 3 hours the first day I brought her home with her mainly running to me to hide from the others after a couple of them pecked her....Today I placed her in a kennel in the run whenever I couldn't be outside with them. I went out several times and let her out of the kennel and left the door of the pen open so all of them could roam around. I'm hoping that they will get use to Goldilocks soon. But how long could this take??
Should I go get Goldilocks a partner from the flock I got her from....do you think that would help?
