Introducing a roo

Put him in a look no touch pen, a wire dog crate works great..Toss some scratch by the crate to get the Hens close to him..Leave him in there as you watch for an hour and then let him out...Just note that disease transfer is a high possibility ..Always risks in introducing New Chickens..Best wishes..

The legs need to be inspected. Do some research here on mites. If they are good in person (hard to tell in that photo) I would just add him to your girls. There is a risk, but he looks healthy to me. He is big enough to hold his own. There might be a bit of ruckus as he says he is here to stay, but they will be in love by morning, or at least mine have.

It's hard to tell but he's got a couple slightly lifted scales near his feet. It could be mites or just rough living, won't hurt to treat him if anything he'll have soft legs. :)
Lather his legs in Vaseline if mites...It kills them...In my opinion he does not have scaly leg mites at all....He looks pretty good to me...
