We got 2 new baby chicks about 10 weeks ago now, and are wondering if they are old enough to be introduced to are 3 hens. The chicks are about 11 weeks old now, but the hens seem to peck at them from time to time. What should we do?

Today is our mix it up day. The chicks have been in the brooder in the run since they were a few days old. They are now 4 weeks old. This morning we opened the chick doors and let them mingle. First the hens were locked out of the run. When we saw the chicks were using the chick doors in both directions we let the hens into the run. A few pecks but all seems well. The chicks are staying close to the brooder.
