Hello, we have two Muscovy ducks (hen and a drake) that we have had for about a year. With everything going on recently and getting eggs is so difficult we are contemplating adding two chickens to the mix. I’d love advise if this could be successful mix or not. Our female Muscovy is very submissive. Our male can be kind of an ass to put it bluntly. Has anyone had success with chickens and Muscovys or is this something not worth trying?
Thanks!

I have chickens an Muscovy and they do fine together. They even sleep In the same coop the Muscovy have one roost that’s theirs the chickens have the others. My chickens have learned to keep a space between them and the Muscovy or they will get a nip. It never amounts to injury though. Introductions are important I wouldn’t toss new chickens into a pen with ducks. They need to meet through fencing first to get use to each other.

We don't have Muscovies specifically, but we have chickens and ducks of various breeds in one large flock. As Miss Lydia said, as long as you introduce them slowly and allow them to get to know each other, you shouldn't experience a lot of problems.
