I have 10 2 year old hens and need to introduce 3 more (2 year old hens) to the flock. What is the best way to do this?

Let them see eachother for a few days through chicken wire and then I would try and introduce the new ones at night when the others are roosting, this may cause less stress on all of you. There will be some pecking at eachother as new pecking orders wil have to be made. Just watch for blood and injury and remove the injured ones if there are any. They will quickly turn to canibals if left with one that is bloody.

You may even want to put a seperate food and water source in there for the new ones for a while so they can eat freely.

It takes time but all will work out.

    Good luck and [IMG]
