Introducing Chicks/Pullets?

Hello, I am wondering about how I'm supposed to show my adult hens my new chicks. The adults can be a little violent and peck each others feathers when they are bored. They are Tetra tints and Gold Comets. (3 of each type) There will be three chicks (Buff orpington, Leghorn, Araucana) in a few weeks. Should I introduce them early, so the hens think they are their babies, or late, so they will be able to defend themselves in the pecking order?

You will most likely need to raise them separately til they are adult size. As a rule, adult hens will kill young chicks that they have not hatched.
