Hello. Just curious on what age should I introduce my 5 week old chicks to my 9 week old chicks. Out in the pen. I'm sure I'll figure it out. Like put a little pen next to the other pen.

Now. I would keep the 5 week olds in a pen within the coop with a brooder plate for their heat source, if they still even need it. They may be fine with just a huddle box.Hello. Yeah theve been out in there little pen since they were like 2 weeks old. But not near the others. Yeah very hot and humid up here for themNow. After about 1 week of them being able to see one another, I'd allow them all out with the run available for all of them. Have lots of extra places with food and more than one waterer and lots of places to hide away and perching locations to fly up to.
They are young enough that there shouldn't be any serious pecking. There will likely be a lot of posturing and chest bumping though.
